Description
Quincy North Side Boat Club building was built in 1896 and subsequently relocated in 1909. It rests high upon the bluffs of the Mississippi river in a city which is about 100 miles north of St Louis, Missouri. In it's earlier days, it was a hub for rowing competitions, which was a very important sport during the early 1900's.
This building appears to be small but there is an additional building lower down the bluffs behind this original structure which is accessible via stairs or elevator, It is quite nicely located so as not to take away from the charm and antiquity of this lovely old brick building.
