Pamela Briggs-Luther has created this beautiful art suitable for home and/or office.
During the winter, the American Bald Eagles migrate to the Midwest. These eagles arrive from Canada and Alaska. They like to settle near waters that are not frozen so that they can find fish. One of the eagles' hangouts are south of the various locks and dams on the Mississippi River. This eagle was viewed at Lock and Dam 21 in Quincy, Illinois. South of the locks and dam, the water does not freeze. The eagles are able to find fish for their food. The winter of 2014 has had a prolific amount of eagles because of the extremely cold temperatures that have occurred.

5 adults and a juvenile! Fantastic. So happy they are making a come back. Dave and I search the tree lines near rivers and lakes for their nests here in Southwestern Ontario. We have found 35 nests from London to Windsor to Grand Bend with the newest next 2 wks ago. I bet you have a nest(s) near by. Look for huge bowl shaped nests made of wood bigger than a squirrels nest. at the edge of wood lots and forests. can't see them when the trees are in leaf.
