Description
If you are ever near Beaune France, be sure to take a moment or two to visit Les Hospices De Beune. It is located in the Burgandy wine region. The stucture is an amazing, historic place with great beauty. It was founded in 1493 and was built as a hospital fo the poor. It's Gothic architecture is beautiful. This amazing place was built by Duke Philip The Good, with the sole purpose of providing medical help with doctors and nurses to the poor. The plague had broken out and these people needed care.
The kitchen was of what would have been considered the very best for that time.
These copper buckets held water which was pumped from the long faucets. Along with what would have been considered to be top notch facilities, there are also rows and rows of herbs and medicinal substances.
