This brick mural is on the side of a building that actually faces the street the mural portrays. Across the street, where the fountain is, one can see part of the famous Washington Park, site of the 6th Lincoln-Douglas debate.

In the mural, one can see an electric trolley car, a street cleaner, an antique car. Also in the distance is the Mississippi River with a steamboat traveling northwards. This lovely mural portrays a quiet, peaceful time in the life of this city.
